Het Nederlands Studenten Orkest speelt op 18 februari om 20:15 uur een uniek programma in het Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. Het NSO is een landelijk projectorkest dat bestaat uit muzikale en ambitieuze studenten. Een maand lang leggen zij hun reguliere studies naast zich neer, om zich te storten op een waanzinnig repertoire. Na een repetitieperiode van tien dagen, begint het grote avontuur van de concertreeks: 13 concerten in het binnen- en buitenland. Het thema van NSO 2025 is ‘waanzin’.

The Dutch National Student Orchestra (NSO) will play a unique programme at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven on the 18th of February at 20:15. The NSO is a national project orchestra full of ambitious and talented students. For a month, they put aside their regular studies to challenge themselves to study a difficult repertoire in just ten days. After that period, the tour begins: 13 concerts in the Netherlands and two foreign cities. The theme of NSO 2025 is ‘madness’. 

Het Nederlands Studenten Orkest is een landelijk projectorkest vol ambitieuze jonge studenten, die zich naast hun studie op hoog niveau bezighouden met klassieke muziek. Onder leiding van dirigent Chloe Rooke brengen ze het groteske werk ‘Symphonie Fantastique’ van Hector Berlioz ten gehore. In de opdrachtscompositie ‘Ludus’ speelt Karmit Fadael met de spanningen, sensaties en overschrijdende gevoelens die bij speelse liefde om de hoek komen kijken. Op altviool staat Dana Zemtsov in de schijnwerpers met het bijzondere altvioolconcert van William Walton. Deze editie van het Nederlands Studenten Orkest bestaat uit een maand gevuld met eindeloze ‘Waanzin’!

The Dutch National Student Orchestra (NSO) is a nationwide project orchestra full of ambitious young students, who engage in classical music at a high level alongside their studies. Led by conductor Chloe Rooke, they perform Hector Berlioz's grotesque work ‘Symphonie Fantastique’. In the commissioned composition ‘Ludus’, Karmit Fadael plays with the tensions, sensations and transcending feelings that are involved in playful love. On viola, Dana Zemtsov takes the spotlight with William Walton's extraordinary viola concerto. This edition of the Dutch Student Orchestra consists of a month filled with endless ‘Madness’!
